Job Description
The Technical Field Manager, also called Land Release Project Officer at Humanity & Inclusion, provides technical advice and daily field mentoring to national humanitarian mine action staff across High Threat Search and Clearance, Battle Area Clearance, Technical Survey, IED clearance, Non-Technical Survey and Land Release teams. A secondary function is building the technical capacity of HI''s national mine action staff. The post is based in Deir ez-Zor with travel and residence in other regions where HI clearance teams operate, including remote areas where the post-holder is expected to embed in the local community. Responsibilities cover project planning and implementation, MEAL, project data management, team coordination, external communication, emergency preparedness, and technical guidance ensuring compliance with international norms including underwater explosive ordnance clearance. Advanced written English is required and Arabic is an asset. Unaccompanied posting with collective housing, per diem and hardship allowances, and R&R every eight weeks.
